Capital Investment Portfolio Management Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead the management of our prescribed network capital investment portfolio.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that work programs are delivered within defined schedules and budgets, and will ensure compliance with relevant financial requirements.

The successful candidate will also provide a forward view of Pre-DG1 portfolio, enabling service providers to develop resource planning and capital expenditure forecasts.

Additionally, they will ensure all audit and other reporting and regulatory obligations are fulfilled in a timely manner, and will drive commercial responsiveness and completeness in all aspects of investment lifecycle activities.

This role requires a high level of efficiency in all stages of the investment lifecycle until assets are accepted by Asset Managers, as well as effective liaison with Works Delivery to ensure information and data on progress is reported and tracked appropriately.

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications at degree level or in a relevant discipline or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Extensive experience in engineering project management in the energy industry and/or delivery of high voltage transmission capital projects with high external visibility (desirable).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to direct and lead multiple teams simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, including written and oral presentations.
  • Thorough understanding of Regulatory approvals process associated with high voltage transmission assets in NSW.
  • Conceptual, intellectual, and strategic ability, capable of clear innovative thought processes and solutions to complex issues.
  • Substantial experience in approval of detailed project programs and cost estimates for projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and superior oral and written communication skills to provide specialist technical advice.
