Purpose of the Role

This role is responsible for responding to emergency incidents, promoting community safety, and developing competencies through regular training and drills.

Key Requirements
  • Mandatory requirements include living or working within a reasonable distance of an emergency station, Australian permanent resident status, and a manual driver's licence.

Applicants must commit to attending incident calls, 75% of regular drills and training sessions, obtaining a MRV licence within 12 months, and participating in ongoing skills acquisition and maintenance programs.

Your Key Accountabilities
  • You will respond to emergencies as part of a team, promote community safety, develop competencies, and contribute to upkeep and hygiene of emergency facilities.
  • You will also ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment and facilities, contribute to incident reporting, and promote a positive team approach.
