
Experienced Senior Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary mental health team in providing care and support for young people experiencing psychosis.
The Early Psychosis Program is a community-based service that provides specialist early intervention treatment to young people (14-25 years) who are at risk of, or are experiencing, psychosis. As a Senior Social Worker/Family Worker, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing high levels of clinical expertise and specialised knowledge in order to provide high quality Social Work care to families, carers, and young people consistent with NSW Health policies and standards.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a positive and optimistic culture making a difference to the lives of young people experiencing psychosis. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with other professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to young people and their families. You will also have the opportunity to initiate, lead, complete, and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:
- A minimum Bachelor's degree in Social Work, which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Extensive postgraduate clinical experience in Mental Health Social Work, including working with young people, carers, and family across diversity of gender, culture, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations
- Demonstrated understanding of Early Intervention philosophy, principles, and practice
- Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills, including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout all organisational levels
