Job Opportunity for Clinical Coder

We are seeking a skilled clinical coder to join our team on a casual basis.

  • Timely and accurate coding of patient data using ICD-10-AM and correct assignment of Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs)
  • Participation in casemix analysis, education and quality initiatives
  • Maintaining current knowledge of relevant clinical coding guidelines and Australian Coding Standards
  • Improvement of clinical documentation practices
  • Participation in audits as necessary

Requirements:

  • Authority to work in Australia
  • HIMAA certification in Clinical Coding or equivalent, with minimum 2 years' experience in using ICD-10-AM, ACHI and ACS
  • Experience in coding across various DRGs with demonstrated high coding quality skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the ICD-10-AM 13th Edition
  • Familiarity with current Clinical Coding guidelines and Australian Coding Standards
  • Sound understanding of AR-DRG classification system
  • Proficiency in Solventum Codefinder software
  • Strong organizational skills in planning, prioritizing and managing workloads
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
