Senior Executive Service Band 1 – Chief Architect

We are seeking a high-performing executive to lead the organisation forward and drive strategic direction.

This key role is responsible for leading the ICT Digital strategy, technology choices and Enterprise Architecture across the Defence ICT landscape. You will:

  • Utilise extensive digital technology and architectural expertise to inform business decisions.
  • Lead and coach a team of ICT professionals in implementing agile methodologies.
  • Interpret and drive the unique architecture of the Defence environment to enhance ICT maturity.
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a branch with inclusive leadership, collaboration and integrity.
  • Exercising strong judgement to resolve complex problems and capitalise on innovative alternatives.
  • Effectively challenging the status quo when required.
  • Demonstrating resilience and personal accountability for the quality of advice and delivery of results.
  • Communicating effectively with both written and verbal skills.
