We are seeking a highly skilled Global Export Coordinator to join our dynamic team at AkzoNobel in Melbourne, Australia.

Job Description:

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient export of products worldwide. This includes managing requirement plans for raw materials, reviewing and executing export processes from start to finish, and developing effective working relationships with key customers.

You will liaise with ICD customers to obtain information and ensure correct measures are in place, as well as coordinate with Suppliers, Forwarders, and agents to obtain up-to-date shipment information. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring customers are fully informed of the progress of their shipments and providing transport companies with relevant information to meet customer delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and review requirement plans for raw materials
  • Manage the export process from start to finish
  • Liaise with ICD customers to obtain information and ensure correct measures are in place
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key customers
  • Liaise with Customers, Customs, and Operations' Departments to ensure all documents are received within the designated time frame
  • Obtain all necessary information to ensure correct measures are in place and customer needs are met
  • Liaise between Suppliers, Forwarders, and agents to obtain up-to-date shipment information
  • Ensure customers are fully informed of the progress of their shipments
  • Provide transport companies with relevant information to meet customer delivery requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in freight-forwarding/logistics
  • Strong customer-service background
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Resilient, able to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Quality-oriented with a drive for results
  • Confident and organised team player
