Are you looking for a challenge in the electric-powered transport industry?

We have an exciting opportunity for an Embedded Software Team Lead to join our team.

Your primary responsibility will be to drive the development of embedded and non-embedded software solutions, recommending hardware solutions based on software requirements.

You will also be responsible for robust documentation of software specifications, resolving software issues using automotive 8D problem-solving techniques and understanding of hardware design principles.

Additionally, you will ensure software releases adhere to validation, lessons learned, and peer review activities, maintaining adherence to development processes and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Embedded Software Development:
  • Develop and document software system-level designs,
  • Suggest hardware solutions aligned with software needs,
  • Fix software problems using 8D methodology and hardware knowledge,
  • Evaluate software releases against validation and peer review criteria,
  • Manage process compliance and regulatory adherence,
  • Improve design processes continuously,
  • Understand hardware limitations and their impact on software handling,
  • Test and debug embedded hardware,
  • Create and manage project budgets,
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams,
  • Support test engineers in developing test plans,
  • Verify and validate software across levels (static analysis, reviews, unit test, integration test),
  • Aid E-Lab during DVPR testing,
  • Design and build test fixtures for DVPR and other activities
Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience:
  • Proven track record in leading small to mid-size software teams,
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong C programming skills,
  • Proficiency in software component development across multiple architectural layers,
  • Project Management:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects from acquisition to production,
  • Familiarity with traditional software development lifecycles and agile methods, including ISO26262 and Cybersecurity,
  • Able to adapt software architectures and development processes as per situation,
  • Experience in re-scoping and change management,
  • Ability to elicit requirements from stakeholders,
  • Familiarity with software development toolchains (IBM Doors, Vector, Python scripting etc.)
