Job Overview

The Protective Security Superintendent plays a crucial role in providing expert guidance on intelligence and risk issues affecting courts.

  • Provides operational support and protective security advice across courts and Court Services units.
  • Leads security operations in courts when required.
  • Conducts risk and vulnerability assessments, audits, and reports findings.
  • Investigates critical security incidents and recommends improvements.
  • Develops and reviews security policies, procedures, and operational plans for high-security matters.
  • Delivers briefings, training, and presentations to court staff.
  • Liaises with Judicial Officers and senior stakeholders across law enforcement and partner agencies.
Essential Requirements
  • Completion of the Sheriff's Officer Recruit Training Program.
  • Willingness to obtain a Diploma of Government Security or equivalent upon commencement.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence, with a provisional P2 licence as a minimum upon entry to service.
  • Meets the required health, physical and psychological requirements in accordance with agency standards.

This sworn Sheriff's Officer performs duties such as the execution of court orders and court security duties.
