About the Role

This position is based in the Kambarang Place Women's Refuge Project, aiming to transfer ownership and management to a First Nations run women's organisation.

The consultant will provide leadership and coordination for developing a governance structure and service model reflecting the needs and interests of First Nations women, working closely with community leaders and stakeholders.

This role is a fixed-term 3-year project, focusing on organisational governance and service model design for First Nations FDV services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Demonstrate expertise in similar projects, particularly those focused on First Nations organisational governance and service models for First Nations FDV services.
  2. Develop and implement effective consultations with First Nations elders, leaders, and women with lived experience.
  3. Design and implement organisational governance structures and service model processes aligned with trauma-informed and cultural security principles.
  4. Conduct thorough research and analysis on FDV from a First Nations perspective, informing service model design and implementation.
  5. Provide high-quality written and verbal communication, collaborating with stakeholders and community members.
  6. Meet project deadlines and deliverables, ensuring timely completion of tasks and objectives.
