Join Us as a First Nations Engagement & Communications Specialist

At Sandvik Rock Process Australia, we believe that strong relationships and authentic communication make all the difference. We're looking for a passionate and compassionate person to join our team and play a vital role in connecting us with First Nations communities while helping shape how we share our story.

What You'll Do:

This unique role is about making meaningful connections and telling powerful stories — split equally between:

  • First Nations engagement:

Be a champion for our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), building genuine relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. You'll help us weave respect and understanding into everything we do, creating a workplace and business that truly values First Nations culture.

  • Business communications:

Use your creativity and communication skills to craft clear, engaging messages for our teams and partners—both locally in Oceania and across our global Screening Solutions division. Your work will help us achieve our goals and celebrate our shared successes.

What We're Looking For:

You'll bring:

  • Relevant experience or tertiary qualifications in communications and community relations.
  • A respectful understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, with experience working with these communities.
  • Sensitivity in handling cultural topics.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication, planning, and influencing skills.
  • A willingness to travel across Australia occasionally.

Why You'll Love It Here:

  • Supportive and Inclusive Culture: Join a team that values collaboration, respect, and diversity.
  • Career Development: We invest in your professional growth and create opportunities to advance your career.
  • Work-life Balance: We understand the importance of flexibility.
  • Health and Wellbeing: Access to health and wellness programs, including mental health support.
  • Leadership Support: Learn and connect with experienced professionals who are invested in your success.
  • Family-Friendly Policies: We offer paid parental leave, and other initiatives to support working parents.
  • Employee Benefit programs: including discounts program, salary sacrifice options and length of service recognition.

We're committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where diverse voices are heard and valued. Whether you're just starting your career or looking to take the next step, you'll find a welcoming team that encourages growth, balance, and meaningful work.

We especially encourage women and candidates from underrepresented backgrounds to apply. Your perspective matters here.
