The Assembly Fitter Role

This is a permanent full-time fitter position in a global company that specializes in the production and maintenance of heavy machinery.

  • Assemble, overhaul, repair, and service mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment.
  • Work with a team to ensure all new machine assembly is completed as scheduled, while maintaining the quality of all machines assembled on site.

Key responsibilities include ensuring all onsite builds and commissioning for mining equipment are completed as scheduled, setting and maintaining a high quality of work, and maintaining housekeeping standards within your allocated area.

Liaise closely with assembly supervisors and leading hands to ensure customer satisfaction and delivery targets are achieved.

Requirements:
  • Australian mobile plant trade qualifications or recognition equivalent.
  • Previous experience with the assembly, overhaul, repair, and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive, long-term relationships.
