Job Opportunity: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to work on complex heavy machinery and contribute to the success of our organization.

This role involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on heavy mining equipment, including conveyor systems, crushers, gearboxes, pumps, motors, hydraulic and pneumatic components. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, diagnosing faults, and implementing effective solutions to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (or equivalent qualification)
  • Recognised trade certification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic
  • High competency in precision alignment, backlash adjustment, and laser measuring tools
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in heavy industrial and mining mechanical maintenance, specifically on bucket wheels, stackers, crushers, DMS washing plants, conveyor belts, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Proven ability to work on major breakdown repairs in high-pressure environments
