Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

**About the Role:**

We are Australia's largest pure-play coal producer, generating significant Foreign Direct Investment.

Located 14km northwest of Singleton, our underground mine has been operational for nearly 20 years, producing semi-soft coking coal for export through the Port of Newcastle.

**Job Tasks and Responsibilities:**

  • Supervising the installation, commissioning, maintenance & repair of mechanical plant and equipment on site
  • Completing effective maintenance and fault-finding work on mechanical systems
  • Monitoring mechanical equipment to ensure it remains in a safe & fit for purpose condition in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 2 years Underground Coal Mining experience
  • Mechanical trade qualification and Certificate of Proficiency (mandatory)
  • Tertiary qualifications in Fluid Power (highly desirable)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A positive attitude towards and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of Coal Mining WHS legislation requirements
