Job Title:

A Maintenance Fitter is required for an immediate start in a dynamic environment.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for routine preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on all mechanical plant and equipment.
  • They will need to comply with organisation's policies, including safe working practices and occupational health and safety.
  • Use various hand tools to fit and assemble parts, requiring knowledge of mechanics principles.
  • Complete planned, unplanned and requested maintenance tasks effectively.
  • Ensure hazards are identified, risks assessed and controlled, and act immediately to stop any observed unsafe act or condition.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to resolve breakdowns and perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Conduct proactive breakdown analysis and identify problem areas of the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Australian Trade Recognised).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical fitting, welding and fabrication.
  • Understanding of PLC operation.
  • Proficient with conveying equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Available for shift work from Monday to Friday.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand schematic drawings, plans and specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability working within a fast-paced environment.
