The successful applicant will work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals, advocating for consumers and developing sustainable support networks.

  • Providing one-on-one and group support to consumers in their own homes and community settings
  • Meeting individual needs according to established behavioral support plans
  • Developing professional relationships with consumers, their families, and other community members
  • Recording accurate and timely case notes to ensure consistency in consumer experience
  • Supporting consumers to work towards their individual goals

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Prior experience and knowledge in supporting individuals with mental health needs and managing challenging behaviors
  • Demonstrated patience, emotional resilience, effective listening skills, and adaptable communication techniques
  • Strong ability to advocate for others and develop sustainable support networks
  • Resilience and ability to adapt to challenges and remain focused under pressure
  • Proficiency in using IT systems on both computer and mobile platforms
