Health Information Manager Job Description

This role provides an opportunity to lead health information management activities in a dynamic environment. The primary responsibilities include ensuring data integrity, quality assurance for clinical information and service activity reporting, and compliance.

The Health Information Manager will be responsible for creating systems, providing quality assurance, and supporting the operational management of health information for clinical teams. This includes addressing data integrity and quality assurance for collection, processing, reporting, and monitoring of clinical information and service activity.

Key responsibilities also include developing and providing education and training on health information requirements, maintaining high standards of privacy, confidentiality, and other areas of Health Information governance, and supporting day-to-day activities of the Health Information Service.

  • Create systems and provide quality assurance for operational management of health information.
  • Address data integrity and quality assurance for clinical information and service activity.
  • Develop and provide education and training on health information requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of privacy, confidentiality, and other areas of Health Information governance.
  • Support the day-to-day activities of the Health Information Service.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require a Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent qualification. Previous experience in health information management is essential. You will need to demonstrate your ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the organisation.
