Research Scientist Opportunity:

About the Role:

We are seeking talented researchers to undertake cutting-edge machine learning research for projects aligned to one or more of the following themes:

  • Theme 1: Attribution and Integrity for Generative AI.
  • Theme 2: Foundational Reasoning for Tool Use and Physical Interactions.
  • Theme 3: AI Systems for Safety and Diversity.
  • Theme 4: Causal AI for a Changing World.

This role provides an opportunity to work with leading researchers in the field of artificial intelligence at a world-class research institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct innovative machine learning research for projects aligned to one or more of the above-mentioned themes.
  • Collaborate with renowned researchers in the field of artificial intelligence.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier conferences or journals.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality research code and documentation.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Programming experience in Python, C++, or another relevant language.
  • Strong mathematical capability, especially for Theme 1.
  • Experience and knowledge in deep learning and one or more of the following: transformer networks, implicit neural functions, graph neural networks, and/or probabilistic graphical models; and causal inference.
  • Outstanding publication record in top-tier conferences or journals, commensurate with experience and opportunity.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to work independently, and as a member of a broader team.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with ability to communicate scientific ideas to an expert audience.
