Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Autonomous Solutions Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the development and implementation of autonomous solutions for various industries, including mining, agriculture, automotive, and marine sectors.

The successful candidate will have experience in integrating, debugging, and commissioning drive-by-wire and autonomy hardware, as well as performing test execution for new firmware, software, or hardware. Additionally, they will be responsible for deploying software on embedded Linux controllers, developing test plans and schedules, and contributing to customer documentation and training material for various software applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or trade certification in electrical, auto electrician, or mechanical with field-based experience working with AHS/OEM machinery within mining or heavy industry
  • Experience in the installation of vehicle electrical hardware
  • Ability to be agile and adaptable to fast-changing requirements
  • Experienced in troubleshooting, problem solving in a testing/application environment within AHS or autonomous application within mining operations
  • Valid Australian working rights: Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
Responsibilities:
  • Integrate, debug, and commission drive-by-wire and autonomy hardware
  • In-production facility and in-field, FIFO, deploying and testing of autonomous vehicle software and dynamic controls
  • Perform test execution for new firmware, software, or hardware
  • Deploy software on embedded Linux controllers
  • Develop test plans and schedules
  • Develop test instructions for vehicle operators
  • Regular reporting and discussions with NPI development teams to debug issues, provide product improvement suggestions
  • Analyse, coordinate, and perform failure analysis activities to identify root cause of customer reported issues
  • Act independently with minimal supervision to conduct data collection and complete required vehicle performance tests
  • Contribute to customer documentation and training material for various software applications
  • Assist customers with configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software
