Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Principal Tailings Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing civil/geotechnical/tailings dam projects using various software packages.

You will also conduct geotechnical and environmental site characterization, develop and manage instrumentation monitoring systems, and provide project/task management and proposal preparation support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Civil/geotechnical/tailings dam design using industry-leading software
  • Geotechnical analyses using advanced numerical modeling tools
  • Tailing deposition modeling (Muk3D)
  • Site characterization and data analysis
  • Instrumentation monitoring system development and management
  • Project/task management and proposal preparation support
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field
  • Advanced degree in civil or geotechnical engineering or a related field (preferred)
  • Professional registration (preferred but not essential)
  • Engineer of Record (EoR) certification
  • At least 8 years of directly relevant experience in a consulting environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of industry-standard geotechnical software
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment
