Empowering Individuals with Disability

We are seeking a passionate Career Coach to support clients in the South West region of Western Australia.

Your role will be to empower individuals with disability to navigate the employment landscape, understand their rights, and build the skills they need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Individual Advocacy: Provide direct support to participants, helping them understand their rights and responsibilities, develop personalised employment plans, and build confidence through ongoing coaching.
  • Systemic Advocacy: Identify and report on systemic issues to contribute to broader advocacy efforts and influence positive change in policies and practices.
  • Case Management: Manage your own caseload, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping and compliance with all program guidelines.
What We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with and advocating for people with disability, with a deep understanding of social justice and human rights.

  • Experience:
    • A strong background in employment services, including job search techniques and workplace coaching.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, exceptional communication, and the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
    • Highly organised, a great problem-solver, and proficient with data management systems.
  • Knowledge:
    • Expertise in the disability sector, including an understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Qualifications:
    • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field like Human Services, Social Work, or Community Services, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
