About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Motor Enthusiast Underwriter. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and delivering insurance solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take incoming calls from customers and provide information and product knowledge to identify the right level of insurance protection to meet their requirements.
  • Strive to make the complex simple while ensuring customers' needs are met.
  • Share your passion for motoring and provide a unique service to ensure customers can drive or ride forward with confidence, knowing they are covered by Shannons.

Requirements
  • A genuine interest in cars or motorbikes is essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with customers and drive solutions.
  • Ability to problem solve and make the complex simple for customers.
  • Demonstrated motivation to achieve and exceed targets.
  • High interest in developing your knowledge and generating ideas through innovative thinking.
  • High level of technical ability and navigating multiple systems.
Working Arrangements

We operate from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 7pm and Saturday to Sunday 9am to 5pm. We are recruiting for the following part-time and full-time shift options:

  • Shift 1 - Full Time: Monday to Friday hours per week - start window between 9am-11am.
  • Shift 2 - Part Time: Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat – 30 hours per week – start window between 9am-12.30pm.
  • Shift 3 - Part Time: Tues, Wed, Thur, Fri, Sat hours per week - start window between 9am-11am.

A start window means you will be rostered to commence your shift anytime during these times. This will be a rotating roster and you will be provided with these 4 weeks in advance.

We also offer a hybrid working model which allows you to find a balance between working from home and working from the office, while delivering your best work.
