Senior Operational Risk Manager Position

Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned risk professional to join our global Business Operational Risk Management team. This is an exceptional opportunity to support a newly established team, working closely with the Macquarie Capital Lead Central & APAC BORM to proactively identify, assess, and manage operational risks.

This role requires providing expert operational risk advice, developing practical solutions, and contributing to the success of Macquarie Capital's Central Operations. You will have exposure to diverse products, jurisdictions, and stakeholders, within a collaborative, globally connected team that values innovation and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating identified risks.
  • Develop and implement effective control measures to ensure robust risk management practices.
  • Collaborate with the business to investigate risk incidents, address root causes, and develop remediation plans.
  • Drive impactful change initiatives alongside senior management.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in operational risk management or internal control roles, including internal or external audit within the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting RCSA and performing control assurance activities.
  • Proven ability to balance commercial objectives within a risk framework.
  • Exceptional communication skills, enabling effective engagement with senior stakeholders.
