
Patient Safety Improvement Specialist

The Patient Safety Improvement Unit Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest level of patient safety and quality care. We are looking for an individual who can lead the development and implementation of patient safety and clinical improvement activities within our hospital.
Main Responsibilities- Lead Clinical Improvement Activities: Develop and implement patient safety and clinical improvement projects within the hospital, fostering a culture that prioritises patient safety, risk management, and clinical quality.
- Risk Management and Quality Improvement: Implement activities related to business improvement and risk management projects within operational and clinical services, providing leadership to enhance the safety and quality of patient care.
- Clinical Governance: Ensure compliance with clinical governance concepts, principles, and practice, including patient safety, clinical risk management, and quality improvement.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A Tertiary Qualification in a health discipline or extensive recent clinical experience in complex healthcare settings.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of Clinical Governance Concepts, including patient safety, clinical risk management, and quality improvement.
- Analytical Problem-Solving Skills: Apply analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills to improve patient safety and quality care.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, consult, and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Leadership Skills: Experience working constructively with clinical staff in complex healthcare organisations, with demonstrated peer leadership skills.
