Career Opportunity: Genetic Counsellor Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Genetic Counsellor to join our team. As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing counselling services to patients and their families concerned about genetic conditions.
The successful candidate will have excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve. You will also be required to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide counselling services to patients and their families concerned about genetic conditions.
- Support for and co-ordination of referrals where necessary for women with diagnosed genetic and fetal anomalies according to protocols.
- Work closely with other counsellors and medical geneticists as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
