**Emergency Medicine Specialist Role

About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team as a Visiting Medical Officer. As a key member of our emergency department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical care to adult and paediatric patients presenting to the emergency department.
  • Supervise junior medical staff and provide senior decision-making support to expedite clinical care and patient flow.
  • Collaborate with nursing managers to optimise patient flow and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Communicate with admitting teams, medical retrieval teams, and tertiary referral centres for escalation of patient care when required.

Requirements:

  • Registration or eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA.
  • Fellowship with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (FACEM).

Salary and Conditions:

The salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.
