Emergency Medicine Specialist

As a highly skilled Emergency Career Medical Officer and Senior Resident Medical Officer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the emergency department.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and manage patients presenting to the emergency department.
  • Provide expert clinical leadership and expertise in emergency medicine, ensuring timely and effective patient care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications as necessary, and order diagnostic tests to inform your decision-making.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork among staff members.
Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage patients presenting to the emergency department, including those with critical or life-threatening conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, considering patient history, physical examination, and diagnostic test results.
  • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed, ensuring evidence-based care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified medical professional with extensive experience in emergency medicine.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Advanced life support certification and recent ACLS training.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
