We are seeking a highly skilled Educational Designer/Technologist to join our team.
This role will involve the deployment of an ePortfolio platform within the Faculty of Medicine & Health, with a focus on supporting processes in accreditation, workplace-based assessment, programmatic assessment, and student progress tracking.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the initial deployment of the ePortfolio platform in the School of Health Sciences and the staged roll-out across the Faculty.
- Collaborate with academic and professional staff to implement the ePortfolio platform in areas such as accreditation, workplace-based assessment, programmatic assessment, and tracking student progress.
- Use the ePortfolio platform to support processes in accreditation, workplace-based assessment, programmatic assessment, and student progress tracking.
- Design and develop forms, templates and reports using an ePortfolio platform in collaboration with teaching staff.
- Pilot new educational technologies, implement workflows, roll out technology more broadly, and evaluate effectiveness.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects with the ability to work independently.
- Organise, design, deliver and evaluate professional development workshops for staff (both in-person and online) and develop resources to support self-directed learning.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications and experience in technology-enabled learning, teaching and/or curriculum for higher education; or equivalent knowledge gained through education, training and/or experience.
- Demonstrated experience with ePortfolio platforms (preferably Risr) in areas such as accreditation, workplace-based assessment, programmatic assessment, and student progress mapping/tracking.
- Experience collaborating with teaching staff to design and develop forms, templates and reports using an ePortfolio platform.
- Experience piloting new educational technologies, implementing workflows, and evaluating technology effectiveness.
- Experience managing multiple projects and working independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience delivering professional development workshops for staff (face-to-face and online) and developing resources for self-directed learning.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to develop innovative solutions while collaborating with staff at all levels.
- Excellent digital skills in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams) and Power Platform (Power BI, Automate, Apps); Power Apps experience is highly regarded.
- Understanding of UNSW aims, objectives and values, and knowledge of relevant policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to related training.
