Animal Care Associate Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to support our animal care operations. As an Animal Care Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health, happiness, and well-being of our canine guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing daily enrichment and exercise for our daycare and boarding guests
  • Cleaning kennels, daycare areas, and indoor spaces to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Feeding and basic grooming (washing/brushing) to meet the needs of our animals
  • Monitoring animal health and wellbeing to identify any potential issues
  • Supporting a clean, safe, and calm environment that promotes relaxation and comfort for our animals
  • Greeting customers with great service and a friendly smile at drop-off

About You:

  • Motivated, reliable, and passionate about animals – all kinds, all sizes
  • Able to start shifts from 7am and flexible to cover shifts during peak periods/school holidays
  • Ideal experience in dog daycare, vet clinic, or kennels – studying or certified in Animal Studies or Companion Animal Services is a plus but not essential
  • Have your own car/license or guaranteed transport
  • Strong communicator who works well in a team and independently
  • Physically fit and ready for a hands-on, active job – indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions

Note: You will need to be comfortable lifting, walking, and handling dogs up to 50kg, and be on your feet for most of the day
