Job Title

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Animal Services Associate to join our team. This exciting role will involve working with animals in a local government setting, providing daily care and husbandry requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean kennels and catteries according to disease management practices to ensure the health and wellbeing of the animals in our care.
  • Provide daily animal husbandry requirements, including feeding, cleaning and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the site.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and tidy site, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are well-maintained and functional.
  • Keep thorough records of daily activities, animal health and any issues that may arise, using the Council's corporate software systems and Mobility solution.
Requirements:
  • Two professional referees.
  • Previous experience in a local government setting is highly regarded.
  • Thorough knowledge of animal husbandry, animal control and regulation is essential for this role.
  • A Certificate IV in Animal Management is highly desirable.
  • The ability to wear safety boots, a Hi Viz jacket and wet weather gear is necessary for this role.
  • Excellent communication skills are required to effectively interact with colleagues, stakeholders and the community.
