Junior Audio Designer Opportunity

  • This is a unique chance to work on exciting projects and contribute to the production of high-quality audio assets.
  • As a Junior Audio Designer, you will be involved in designing exceptional audio content that enhances the player experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the audio team in creating outstanding audio content.
  2. Contribute to all aspects of sound design, post-production, and implementation pipelines for various audio styles and game genres.
  3. Collaborate closely with the audio lead to establish unique sonic identities for each project and incorporate feedback from team members and department leaders.
  4. Export and deliver audio assets from digital audio workstations (DAWs) to meet industry standards and follow internal protocols for engine import, implementation, and version control.
  5. Continuously improve skills in all areas of audio design.
  6. Help integrate and troubleshoot key audio system components within Unity and Unreal.
  7. Manage audio assets efficiently and assist with documentation as needed.
  8. Contribute to the enhancement of the audio team's workflow and efficiency by sharing relevant experience and skills through communication, demonstration, and documentation.
  9. Foster a positive studio culture and promote teamwork across the company.

Requirements:

  1. A quality demo reel showcasing your audio design abilities.
  2. Understanding of audio fundamentals.
  3. Tertiary degree or equivalent personal/professional experience in a relevant field.
  4. Experience in audio editing, asset generation, processing, and mixing, with a focus on sound effects and dialogue.
  5. Proficiency with one or more current digital audio workstations (Reaper preferred) and audio software/plugins (e.g., iZotope, Waves).
  6. Ability to multitask, prioritize competing priorities, and adapt to changing project requirements.
  7. An understanding of game development pipelines.
  8. Experience with Unity.
  9. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  10. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  11. Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
