**Job Summary:**
The Deadly Choices Officer is responsible for delivering health education, promotion and prevention activities to schools and communities in line with the Regional Action Plan and the Deadly Choices Procedures Manuals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage youth in health education programs that are culturally appropriate.
- Facilitate key health messages and Deadly Choices education program modules.
- Distribute health information/program materials from a culturally appropriate perspective.
- Support participants in making healthy lifestyle choices and understanding of risk factors.
**Requirements:**
- Certificate IV or above in Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care - Community Care or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and community members.
- Ability to work with other health professionals and organisations.
- Experience in community engagement activities and health promotion programs.
