Procurement Expert

A seasoned Procurement Expert is required to spearhead procurement activities for a major infrastructure project. The successful candidate will oversee the timely supply of materials and services, manage procurement deliverables, and foster strategic partnerships with suppliers.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute a comprehensive procurement plan.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and subcontractors through a Value for Money approach.
  • Coordinate the tender process, including the preparation and issuance of detailed tender documentation.
  • Monitor and oversee the tender process, ensuring transparency, fairness, and adherence to organizational standards throughout all stages.

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant tertiary qualification and significant experience in a similar Project Procurement Management role. They will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.


Required Skills and Competencies:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (highly desirable)
  • Proven experience in a similar Project Procurement Management role
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage complex procurement packages
  • Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Sound knowledge of construction materials and services
