The Opportunity

This full-time role involves managing operational activities associated with pallets to ensure logistics are not exposed to cost, safety or service risk.

As part of our biggest supply chain network, you will be responsible for managing pallet operations and implementing processes to maintain adequate cycle times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and assist in the tracking and operational execution of all pallets
  • Develop and implement consistent pallet processes for Supply Chain including pallet related systems
  • Create and maintain documentation for administrative control
  • Report on pallet costs and pool sizes to DC and store operations when required
  • Support store and DC pallet returns to maintain adequate cycle times
  • Build strong relationships with DC and Store Operations

Requirements

  • Resilient and driven individuals who are able to communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Good analytical and conceptual capabilities
  • Extensive experience in working with pallet related systems including efficient inventory control
  • Effective time management, report writing and documentation capability
  • Able to coordinate several tasks simultaneously
  • Able to analyse issues and identify and implement solutions to complex problems
  • Capable of communicating operational information and results to management
  • Able to assist in the identification and implementation of change programs
  • Displayed commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication skills: analysis, reports, presentation
  • Experience in FMCG, logistics, retail, people management, particularly in relation to stock management
