Master Clinical Coder Leader

Ensure the accuracy and integrity of clinical coding practices by taking on a key role in our organization. As a Clinical Coding Manager, you will be responsible for conducting regular coding audits to identify areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance coding accuracy.
- Lead and provide ongoing education to support team growth and professional development
- Prepare and deliver training activities to the coding team
- Educate clinicians on clinical documentation improvement, DRG, and activity-based funding
- Timely and accurate completion of clinical coding using ICD-10-AM, ACHI, and provision of Diagnosis Related Groups (DRGs)
- Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent tertiary qualification or Clinical Coding qualification
- Demonstrated auditing experience in a tertiary hospital with sound knowledge of audit processes and data integrity
- Minimum 3-5 years coding experience in abstracting and coding across a wide case mix
- Sound understanding of Australian and NSW Coding Standards
- Knowledge of developing, designing, and implementing training programs for coders and clinical documentation improvement recommendations
