About the Role

Tabcorp's Legal - Business Operations team sits within the Legal and Risk Office (LRO) and provides invaluable legal advice and expertise across a wide range of commercial, corporate and regulatory matters.

This includes navigating and supporting complex stakeholder relationships and advising the Sky Racing business. As a Senior Commercial Law Specialist, you will play an important role in navigating these complex fields, working collaboratively with our LRO colleagues.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a range of issues including drafting and negotiating agreements, advising on regulatory issues and licensing, consumer and general commercial law, stakeholder management and marketing.
  • Partner with the Sky Racing team to advise on Australian and international media matters, drafting and helping to negotiate media rights, content distribution and pooling agreements.
  • Balance commercial outcomes with practical legal considerations, ensuring the provision of commercially viable advice that safeguards Tabcorp's interests.
  • Partner with senior Tabcorp leaders to proactively identify legal risks and develop effective strategies and solutions.
  • Act as a mentor and leader within the team, fostering collaboration and providing guidance to enhance the legal function's contribution to the broader business, and in accordance with the LROs brand promise.
What You'll Bring

You will bring a strong background in providing commercially focussed legal advice within highly regulated organisations. You possess strong contract drafting skills, broad commercial experience and the ability to provide clear, effective, legally sound and commercial savvy advice.

Your experience advising across media-related issues will help set you apart, while your excellent stakeholder and communication skills will enable you to successfully engage, influence and negotiate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
