About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, Integrity & Professional Standards. This is a full-time role based in Adelaide, with some intrastate and interstate travel required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a small team, as well as managing and supporting the safeguarding efforts through the provision of Professional Standards services to the Diocese of Darwin and Diocese of Port Pirie.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a small team to identify, manage and respond to risk through robust investigational practices and policy development.
  • Develop and implement safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the proper safeguarding of children, young people, and vulnerable adults within our ministries and outreach services.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to respond pastorally to victims and manage the Archdiocese's pastoral response to abuse claims.
  • Conduct investigations regarding Integrity in our Common Mission complaints and manage investigations or external providers engaged to undertake those investigations into claims.
Requirements
  • A demonstrated commitment to the mission, values and ethos of the Catholic Church.
  • Tertiary qualifications in management, social work, social sciences, investigations, law and/or law enforcement.
  • Work experience in an area that is relevant to the role, including safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
  • Team management experience, and the ability to lead a team in a collaborative manner.
  • Strong relationship management skills and the ability to develop a reputation as a trusted and reliable reference point.
  • In-depth understanding of Safeguarding and Professional Standards requirements and mandates under South Australian legislation.
