The role of Power BI Specialist involves actively contributing to the development of data-driven insights and the day-to-day management of Power BI services across multiple tenancies.

The Power BI Specialist will provide expert guidance on best practices related to various projects and initiatives, while seeking opportunities to enhance overall technical capabilities.

• Implement strategic solutions with significant business impact, including the enhancement and expansion of the Power BI service to Government departments.
• Explore long-term IT requirements and support the adoption of new features of the Power BI service.
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver project outcomes.
• Iterate governance mechanisms and documentation to align with the WhoG Data Governance Framework.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders across Government to support and expand the Power BI Service.

• Technical knowledge and experience in designing, developing, implementing, and supporting Power BI data products.

• Technical knowledge and experience in administering the Power BI service and Microsoft tenancy administration.

• Experience in database design, implementation, administration, normalization, and producing decision useful report outputs.

• Excellent knowledge of fundamental IT concepts, systems, platforms, tools and technologies, programming methodology, hardware, software, and services.

• Broad experience or exposure to translating business requirements into appropriate data source and database system solutions.

• Experience in Agile project management toolset such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
