Transforming consumer communications is a pivotal opportunity to drive lasting change in the financial system. As part of a dynamic team, you will be instrumental in developing and delivering consumer-focused campaigns that captivate and educate audiences.

About This Role

This exciting position offers the chance to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to craft impactful, integrated communications strategies. You will lead projects from conception to delivery, managing relationships with creative agencies and stakeholders to produce innovative, informative content.

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of a consumer communications strategy aligned with strategic priorities and MoneySmart program objectives.
  • Lead and deliver integrated, consumer-focused projects and campaigns, including MoneySmart external communications plans.
  • Manage relationships with creative agencies to deliver innovative, informative, and engaging communications projects.
  • Collaborate with internal communications teams to design and deliver impactful campaigns.
  • Identify and execute media relations activities, manage consumer and investor media engagement, write media releases, pitches, spokesperson briefings, thought leadership, and social content.
Your Key Responsibilities

You will have tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, or a related field, alongside 6-8 years' experience in communications, media, or public relations, ideally across digital, social, and traditional platforms. A solid grasp of the Australian media landscape, track record of writing and pitching compelling stories, and strong project management skills are essential. Experience in financial services is highly regarded but not essential.

You will be a strategic thinker and skilled communicator with the ability to lead projects and produce high-quality content across multiple channels. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, creative flair, and a passion for delivering communications that improve financial capability will see you excel in this role.
