Job Description

The Senior Financial Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. This involves managing the month-end processes, preparing accurate financial statements, and supporting commercial decision-making.

This role requires strong financial accounting skills, ideally with experience from FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, or BIG4 firms. The successful candidate will have working knowledge of relevant Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS, as well as intermediate Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurate and timely financial reporting for the ANZ region within the company group.
  • Own Month End and Period End close for key P&L / Balance Sheet areas and/or a specific business unit.
  • Partner with Operating Expense business owners to ensure forecast spend aligns with Budget.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, reconciliations and analysis.
  • Support annual budgeting and interim forecasting processes.
  • Support ANZ statutory audit and reporting, including climate-related financial reporting and technical accounting support.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Strong financial accounting background, ideally from FMCG, Retail, Manufacturing, or BIG4 experience with clients in these industries.
  • Working knowledge of financial processes including month and period end, supporting audits, AP/AR, balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
  • Working knowledge of relevant Australian Accounting Standards and IFRS.
  • Experience influencing and engaging with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Commercial finance experience desirable—business partnering, working with P&Ls, pricing, and scenario modelling.
