Lead Auditor Opportunity in Mining and Metals

This role involves leading third-party certification and assurance audits across various standards, evaluating compliance and performance, preparing high-quality audit reports, and coordinating audit planning, execution, and reporting phases.

  • Lead audits for globally recognized sustainability and management system standards in the mining and metals sectors.
  • Evaluate client performance against management system and ESG criteria, identifying areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports, including findings, risks, non-conformities, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary audit teams to deliver high-quality audits that meet international standards.

Key Qualifications:
  • Proven auditing experience, preferably in the mining sector, with a strong understanding of management systems and ESG principles.
  • Registered or qualified Lead Auditor status for relevant ISO standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001).
  • Knowledge of voluntary mining standards, such as IRMA, Copper Mark, ICMM, or ASI, and familiarity with social standards like IFC PS, SA8000, and ILO conventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Multilingual capabilities are highly desirable.
