About the Role

The Resource Manager is a key position that oversees resource management and analysis across the Digital pipeline, delivery portfolios, and Business as Usual (BAU) activities. This role ensures that programs, projects, and BAU are adequately resourced.

You will facilitate and collaborate with project managers and team leaders to capture resource plans and forecasts, compiling and monitoring a total view across all resources to identify supply and demand issues.

The Resource Manager will provide resourcing insights to support the Portfolio Analyst and Reporting Lead in delivering complex reporting outputs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure resource demand forecast considers all pipeline work, including active project managers or team leaders.
  • Proactively highlight risks to capacity issues (over/under utilisation) and develop mitigation plans with stakeholders.
  • Support Digital team leaders and program/project delivery teams in monitoring resource availability and mix (internal staff, agency hires, panel contracts/specialists) to inform resource allocation for existing and forecasted pipeline of work.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Align reporting procedures and standards to corporate/finance/EPMO requirements.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Participate actively in project teams and prioritize tasks.
  • Manage conflicts, scope, requirements communications, and knowledge for future use.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or tertiary qualification in business/IT management, Project Management, or equivalent experience.
  • PM Accreditations including PRINCE2, PMBOK, AgilePM, or similar qualifications.
  • 5 years Resource Analyst/Manager experience.
  • Experience supporting delivery of large capital portfolios.
  • Experience as a Resource Analyst/Manager in large complex environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft suite, specifically MS Excel e.g., knowledge of pivot tables and MS Project: portfolio dependency management (master schedule).
