Job Description

This role is critical to ensuring the seamless delivery of IT services and solutions that support our mission. As the Senior Vendor Manager, you will oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of our ICT vendors, ensuring the best value and quality of service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Vendor Management Strategies
    • Align with organisational goals and objectives
    • Ensure vendor selection and management processes are efficient and effective
  • Identify, Evaluate, and Onboard New Vendors
    • Assess vendor capabilities and qualifications
    • Ensure vendors meet our standards and requirements
  • Negotiate Contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
    • Collaborate with vendors to develop mutually beneficial agreements
    • Ensure SLAs are aligned with organisational goals and objectives
  • Monitor Vendor Performance and Compliance
    • Track vendor performance and identify areas for improvement
    • Address any issues or discrepancies in a timely and effective manner
  • Maintain Strong Relationships with Vendors and Internal Stakeholders
    • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with vendors and stakeholders
    • Ensure vendor relationships are aligned with organisational goals and objectives
  • Conduct Regular Vendor Performance Reviews and Audits
    • Assess vendor performance and identify areas for improvement
    • Ensure vendor compliance with organisational policies and procedures
  • Manage Vendor Risk and Ensure Adherence to Compliance and Regulatory Requirements
    • Identify and mitigate vendor-related risks
    • Ensure vendors comply with organisational policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with IT and Other Departments to Understand Their Needs
    • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with IT and other departments
    • Ensure vendor solutions align with organisational goals and objectives
  • Drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives to Optimise Vendor Performance and Cost Efficiency
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement
    • Develop and implement initiatives to optimise vendor performance and cost efficiency
  • Prepare and Present Reports on Vendor Performance and Metrics to Senior Management
    • Develop and maintain effective reporting processes
    • Present vendor performance and metrics to senior management
The Successful Applicant
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in vendor management, particularly in the ICT sector
  • Skills: Proven experience in contract negotiation and management, strong understanding of IT services, infrastructure, and solutions, excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple vendors and projects simultaneously, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
