Multidisciplinary Speech Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team in Regional Southern NSW. You will provide comprehensive Speech Pathology services across a variety of clinical areas within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Services: Deliver patient/family-centered care through assessment, goal setting, treatment planning, and implementation. Provide advice and education to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Professional Standards: Ensure care delivery is within professional, organisational, legal, and ethical boundaries, reflecting evidence-based practice
- Assessment & Treatment: Diagnose and manage patients within your scope of practice. Select and implement appropriate assessment, intervention, and treatment strategies, evaluate treatment outcomes, and adjust plans as needed.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively to optimize patient outcomes, ensuring safe and timely discharge. Communicate effectively and respectfully with all stakeholders, embracing cultural diversity.
- Documentation & Supervision: Maintain comprehensive documentation of care, including progress notes and care plans. Supervise Allied Health Assistants and undergraduate students, contributing to the development of the team.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional growth, including mandatory training and participation in evidence-based practice activities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A Speech Pathology Bachelor's or Masters Degree is required
- Current SPA registration is essential
- Proven experience in delivering speech pathology services across diverse settings is necessary
- The ability to work independently and seek supervision as needed is required
- A commitment to improving health outcomes for the Aboriginal community and cultural competence is essential
- A valid Drivers license is required
- Full Australian Working Rights are necessary
Package:
- A salary in line with the award rate + super + casual loading is offered
- The opportunity to work within a collaborative MDT is available
- A 12 week contract with the potential for an extension is offered
