About the Role

We are seeking an experienced clinical nurse to join our cath lab team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care is provided.

The ideal candidate will be a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively as part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the nursing team with planning, assessment, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based, person-centred care
  • Demonstrate professional practice by adhering to AHPRA professional standards, code of ethics and conduct, legislative requirements and health policies and processes
  • Foster a learning environment through clinical presentations to support the nursing team with their professional development and maintaining own professional learning and continuous professional development and providing supervision and teaching to peers, ENs, graduates and students
  • Act as a valued member of the inter-disciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care by actively contributing to team processes and practices
  • Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the healthcare continuum
  • Maintain professional and constructive working relationships with VMO partners, using a customer service mindset, to enable high quality patient outcomes
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • 3+ years' experience within an acute environment
  • 1-year minimum team leader or in-charge nursing experience (desirable)
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Demonstrate the ability to show initiative and work within a team environment
  • Passion for teaching, educating and up-skilling staff in cardiac operating theatres
