Job Title: Sterilisation Technician Grade 2
Overview:This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the Central Sterile Services Department and maintaining patient safety at all times.
- Maintain high standards in sterilisation and disinfection processes, including routine loading, cleaning, packing, sterilisation, and storage of reusable instruments.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide sterile and thermally disinfected medical and surgical equipment to clinical areas in accordance with current Australian Standards and departmental procedures.
- Collaborate within the Sterilising Services team to support patient care and safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Certificate in Sterilisation technology with prior experience in a Sterilising Services department.
- Good written and oral communication skills, and ability to listen and take direction.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and work effectively within a team.
