Financial Hardship Resolution Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Financial Hardship Resolution Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial hardship cases and providing personalized solutions to customers experiencing financial difficulties.

You will work closely with internal teams to refine processes and improve customer experience. This position requires strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to manage complex and sensitive conversations professionally.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in a financial hardship or collections role within secured or unsecured lending, and in-depth knowledge of relevant regulations.

The successful candidate will be able to meet performance targets and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a customer-centric approach, regulatory knowledge and compliance, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial hardship cases and provide personalized solutions to customers
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to refine processes and improve customer experience
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers experiencing financial difficulty
  • Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory obligations, including the NCCP Act, Privacy Act, and ASIC Regulatory Guides
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2+ years' experience in a financial hardship or collections role within secured or unsecured lending
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, including NCCP Act, ASIC/ACCC collections guidelines, and the Privacy Act
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex and sensitive conversations professionally
  • Proven ability to meet performance targets and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
