Café Operations Director

We are seeking an accomplished leader to spearhead our front-of-house operations. As Front Of House Manager, you will oversee the smooth functioning of our café, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of front-of-house staff to deliver outstanding service and seamless café operations
  • Address customer inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally, guaranteeing every guest departs satisfied
  • Manage day-to-day operations, including staff scheduling, ordering, stock control, and POS system
  • Train and mentor new staff, providing continuous support and development to help them excel in their roles
  • Monitor service flow to ensure timely seating and efficient table turnover, particularly during busy periods
  • Collaborate with the head chef to brainstorm creative ideas for menu changes and specials
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations
  • Oversee cash handling and ensure all transactions are accurate and secure

Our ideal candidate possesses 2+ years of management experience in a Café/Restaurant setting, holds an Approved Manager's Card, and is certified as a Food Safety Supervisor. A Barista-trained professional with proven expertise in staff training, scheduling, and inventory management is essential. Additionally, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, flexibility to work weekends and public holidays, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment make a strong candidate.
