Job Role Overview
As a key member of the Child Protection and Family Support Division, you will be responsible for leading District teams and responding to concerns regarding the safety and wellbeing of children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading District teams in managing child protection cases and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children in accordance with the Children and Community Services Act 2004.
- Supervising team members in child protection case work matters and overseeing Case Workers in taking intervention action to promote the safety and wellbeing of children.
- Convening and chairing planning forums for children in care, working collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
- Contributing to the planning and management of District activities under the direction of the District Director.
Requirements:
You must have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology or relevant human services area to be eligible for this position. All overseas qualifications must be assessed for Australian equivalency.
