Paediatric Speech Language Pathologist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Speech Language Pathologist to provide individual therapy and support to children up to 16 years in clinic or at home, school or childcare as needed.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement effective therapy plans to improve communication skills and address developmental delays.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify areas of need and create tailored treatment strategies.
  • Collaborate with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless support and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide high-quality documentation and reporting to track progress and inform future planning.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualised therapy sessions to children with varying abilities and needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with families and carers to ensure informed decision-making and mutual understanding.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and research to enhance professional development and service delivery.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, supportive work environment.
  • Adhere to organisational policies and procedures to maintain quality and compliance.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Speech Pathology as recognised by Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
  • Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid and CPR training or willingness to obtain.
  • Open driver's licence and access to a car.
  • Experience working with children with diverse needs and abilities.
