Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Lawyer to join our team as a Government and Compliance Expert. This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished professional to leverage their expertise in statutory interpretation, government compliance, and contract management to drive the success of our client.

Responsibilities
  • Advising senior executives on regulatory compliance matters and interpreting legislation to provide pragmatic guidance.
  • Collaborating with the risk and compliance team to ensure seamless integration of legal aspects into organizational policies.
  • Negotiating and drafting commercial and operational contracts to meet business needs.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers to foster growth and development within the team.
Requirements
  • At least 8 years of post-admission experience as a Senior Associate or higher, with a valid practicing certificate.
  • Demonstrated expertise in statutory interpretation, government compliance, Freedom of Information, and Privacy matters.
  • Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in dealing with senior executives, coupled with superior written and verbal communication skills.
